Over the last three decades, conductors Mariss Jansons and Andrew Litton have made significant contributions to a transformation of Norway’s orchestral scene in terms of number of institutions, their sizes and perhaps most importantly, a raised level of quality. We are proud to present a bundle of recordings of six Norwegian orchestras and even more conductors – performing orchestral works of Norwegian as well as foreign origin:
