Kygo signs with Sony, Cashmere Cat drops a MoMA PS1 mix and Gabrielle climbs the charts!

Top ten

Gabrielle and her tune 5 fine frøkner moved up the charts this week.

On Spotify she climbed from a 6th to a 5th place, and that’s also the only movement on that chart.

At WiMP, the same tune moved from a 5th to a 4th place. Crazy Something Normal by Donkeyboy also jumped up one slot, and together they pushed Adeléns Olé down two.

 

Kygo signes with Sony Music

Friday night, the young artists confirmed via his Facebook page that he had just signed with Sony Music Entertainment.

– Now I can finally release these original tunes I’ve been working on, he declared on Facebook this Friday.

Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, AKA Kygo, has had a rapid growth of success. Through his remixes of artists such as Seinabo Sey, Coldplay and Ed Sheeran, he has gained a huge following. The remix of Ed Sheeran’s I See Fire has been played more than 10 million times on SoundCloud.

 

Cashmere Cat drops MoMA PS1 Warm Up Mix ahead of show this Saturday

This week, Cashmere Cat will be playing what has come to be an epic line of summer shows atMoMA PS1 in Long Island City, Queens.

Every summer, a credible gang of DJs and artists fills up the weekly Saturday event known as MoMA PS1′s Warm Up.

Each week Pitchfork is presenting a new remix by one of the artists playing the show. Cashmere Cat is the man behind the mix this week, check it out below:
