Røyksopp return

By Erlend Buflaten Posted: 20. Nov, 2014

We welcome two Norwegian legends back and there’s a new chart topper in this week’s Norwegian Top Ten.

2014 is set to be a great year for Røyksopp. With a successful collaboration with Robyn on the mini album “Do it Again” and a subsequent world tour, the duo is back with their fifth studio album “The Inevitble End”. Dark rumors had this to be the end of Røyksopp, but they have assured us all that they’ll continue to make music – they just aren’t going to release physical albums. What is most important to us is that they keep producing music and it seems that we’re not the only ones who feels like that. Røyksopp jump in to our Top Ten list this week, claiming no less than three(!) places on WiMP. ‘Skulls‘ on #4, ‘Monument (the Inevitble End Version)‘ on #7 and ‘Sordid Affair‘ on #9.

As we talked about last week. The competition for 2014’s biggest hit is heating up. Now ‘Samsara 2015‘ is on a roll to climb to the top, taking #2 on WiMP, pushing Susanne Sundfør and ‘Fade Away‘ down to #3.

Over at Spotify there’s a new track on top. Broiler have been present on the list for several weeks already with ‘Rays of Light‘ currently on #9, and with their brand new single ‘Wild Eyes‘ they’re back on top. The only one climbing this week is Ina Wroldsen and ‘Aliens (her er jeg)‘ which is up one spot to #6.

As always – reading about it is only the beginning, subscribe and listen below for the full experience.
