Another late night show performance for Nico & Vinz, Maja Ratkje curates The Stone, Ja Ja Ja crosses another border and Emilie Nicolas talks music and performing – it’s Music Norway Week in Review.

Maja Ratkje curates The Stone

November 25th marked the start of Maja Ratkje’s residency at The Stone in New York City. Ratkje was invited by John Zorn to showcase her work by curating the program for a full week. For Ratkje this means two daily concerts over six days, ranging from solo shows to other musicians performing her work. The program runs through Sunday 30th.

Ja Ja Ja to cross another border

After years of successful club nights in London and more recently Berlin, Ja Ja Ja boards the plain headed to Vienna Friday 30th January. On stage we’ll see five emerging acts from the Nordic region, including our very own Sea Change.

Emilie Nicolas is this week’s Best Fit Newcomer

After finishing her Norway tour earlier this month, Emilie Nicolas is gearing up for the international release of her debut album “Like I’m a Warrior”. Saying “Her music is the perfect soundtrack to introspection” The Line of Best Fit named Nicolas Best Fit Newcomer this week and talk to her about music, production, performances and upcoming projects.

Katzenjammer announce Europe tour dates

The ever so popular Katzenjammer are going back on the road. In  March the group will visit Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and the Netherlands on their 11 stop tour. This week the group released the track “Lady Grey” and we can expect more new material before the next year’s concerts!

Nico & Vinz on Letterman

Nico & Vinz stopped by the legendary Late Night With David Letterman this week to perform their newest US single “In Your Arms”. This marked their television debut for the track that is currently 29 on Billboards Adult Contemporary list. The duo is set to open for Usher on his tour starting later this year.

Noah Kin curates Nordic Playlist

The Finnish hip hoper has the honor of picking his favorite Nordic tracks this week. Among his most played tracks at the moment we find Norwegian artists Lido and India.
