EDM rules Top 10

By Erlend Buflaten Posted: 14. Jan, 2015

A new EDM-track fights for the number 1 position.

Norwegians can’t get enough bass. This week’s Top 10 can be summed up in electronic beats and huge drops. At #2 last week, Freddy Kalas climbs up and takes the precious #1 position on Spotify with after ski-anthem ‘Pinne for Landet‘, a celebration of some of Norway’s best skiresorts. Kalas shoves Kygo down one, but Kygo remains on top at WiMP with the hit ‘Firestone‘.

Last week we welcomed Highasakite and Røyksopp back. This week sees another pleasant comeback from breakout star Emilie Nicolas, whose ‘Nobody Knows‘ is #9 on WiMP. ‘Younger (Kygo remix)‘, ‘Leaving No Traces‘ and ‘Monument‘ all re-entered last week, and keep climbing this week.

There are two new tracks this week. OnklP, who’s getting close to a permanent spot on our Top 10 with ‘Styggen på ryggen‘, enters at #10 on WiMP with his cover of the Norwegian classic ‘Vinsja på kaia‘. The song is taken from the popular reality series “Hver gang vi møtes”, where Norwegian artists meet and cover each others cataloge. The 2. newcomer this week is ‘Original‘ signed by Cir.Cuz and Emilia. Emilia has the vocal on Martin Tungevaag’s smash ‘Samsara 2015‘, which is #4 on both Spotify and WiMP this week.
