NYC-based Norwegian producers Stargate have racked up another major collab this spring. Coldplay’s upcoming new album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ will feature a bit of that magical Stargate touch as a much of the featured tracks have been produced in partnership with the production team. Stargate’s resume includes work with major acts Katy Perry, Rihanna and Beyoncé, and the two have amassed no less than ten Billboard Hot 100 No#1 hits. Stargate also co-produces Coldplay’s track Miracles featured on the soundtrack of Angelina Jolie-directed motion picture ‘Unbroken’, released late last year.

Jaga Jazzist preparing for North America tour

Jaga Jazzist's new outing 'Starfire' - out now on Ninja Tune

In support of the release of their critically acclaimed long-player ‘Starfire’ (Ninja Tune), Jaga Jazzist are kicking off their North American tour in mid-June.

Five years after their last album release, Jaga Jazzist are now poised to return to the touring circuit, armed with a strong album and a set of new compositions that’s destined to earn them a wider following abroad. With ‘Starfire’, Jaga Jazzist ups its ante, returning to a more electronic sound while flipping the band’s characteristically vertical musical stacks into horizontal sequences. Composed and recorded over two years and slowly finding its shape in the studio, the music is as intricate and composed as previous Jaga’s albums with long, complex structures contrasted by rhythmically wild and punctuated passages – recommended listening.
