Lady Moscow Unsigned Winner

Lady Moscow and Emile both took home awards at Unsigned Music Competition last week.

The Unsigned Only Music Competition is geared toward artists who are unsigned to a major record label or its affiliates. The competition recognizes the best in up-and-coming artists worldwide and acts as a benchmark for excellence in contemporary music. Over 7000 entries from all over the world were submitted.

Norwegian folkrock group Lady Moscow won second prize in the Rock category with the song “Heroes Of The Sum”. Lady Moscow has been described as the “bastard child of Tom Waits and Gogol Bordello” and are known as one of the best live bands of its kind.

17 years old Emile hailing from the south of Norway won an Honorble mention in the Vocal Performance category for the song “Who’s Loving You”. Emile has performed in several musicals and done numerous TV performances since she started singing at the age of 2.

Founders Candace Avery and Jim Morgan stated in a press release, “As we entered the fourth year of this competition, the level of talent has grown exponentially. This year, the winners impressed the judges with their passion, creativity, energy, and artistry. The winners embody the future of music, and we hope that the recognition they receive through Unsigned Only gives them the inspiration and ammunition to keep growing as artists and succeed in attaining their goals.”
