The song will be out in both Spanish and English versions

Trondheim based songwriters and producers Dsign Music have quite a vast track record. With over 20 million units sold and 21 #1’s on various US Billboard Charts, the team certainly know how to make hits.

Having worked a lot towards the Asian market, including several songs for the hugely popular group Girl’s Generation, they are set to conquer the US and Latin-America with Ricky Martin’s latest single.

The song has been recorded in both a Spanish and English version, and it’s the Spanish version that is released this week (September 23rd). It was co-written by Nermin Harambasic, Anne Judith Stokke Wik, Ronny Svendsen (Dsign Music), Justin Stein, Carl Ryden and Lars “Cheif1” Pedersen.

We reached out to Robin Jenssen of Dsign Music to hear how the collab came to happen, and what’s next for the team.

– The song “Vente Pa’Ca”, originally called «Some Kind Of Dream», was written partly in Trondheim and finished in Denmark at Aarhus Calling, a song camp initiated by Dsign Music and Brand New Records. The collaboration with Ricky Martin started with our publisher, Pelle Lidell sending the song to the A&R team of Sony Latin, and they instantly picked it up as the next single.

– Ricky Martin and Maluma recorded vocals for the Spanish version and the release date of the single and video is Friday  23rd of September.  There will also be a US version of the song with another well-known artist (still a secret) in two months from now.
