Northern Disco Lights: The rise and rise of Norwegian dance music tells the story of how a group of friends in Bergen and Tromsø gave birth to a unique sound that went on to redefine dance music as it is known today.
The film premiered at Bergen International Film Festival last week to a sold out theatre and great feedback from the audience.
The film’s producer, Peter Jenkinson, told us that it was special to see the finish film on the big screen.
– It was a proud moment for us to screen our world premiere in Bergen last week. It’s role in our story was crucial and seeing the sellout audience ready to watch when we arrived was an emotional moment for us all. We have been given so much support from the artists, producers and creative organisations to make this movie and it has been a priveledge to be able to tell this amazing story of cultural enterprise so that Norwegian dance music receives the global recognition it deserves.
The film will now go on tour. Six cities have been confirmed so far, with several more in the works
