Meet the Norwegians at Music & Media

Finland – we’re coming!

The next stop on our Nordic tour is Music & Media in Tampere, Finland.

As part of our increased focus on the Nordic countries, we’ll attend conferences and showcase festivals a long with Norwegian industry delegates with special focus on the Nordic market.

Together with our very own Karoline, six Norwegian delegates will be at this year’s Music and Media. See who they are and what they do below!

Phonofile

Johan Husvik is head of Phonofile Sync, working with sync and licensing for the Phonofile catalogue. Phonofile is the leading indie distribution company in Scandinavia, representing over 1500 record labels with offices in NO, SE, DK, UK and USA.

Johan is looking forward to meeting record labels who want to learn more about the service as well as Music Supervisors and other people in the need for excellent music.

Waterfall Music

Waterfall Music is a music publishing company based in Oslo, Norway. Our main objective is to find and nurture songwriting talent – and to subsequently help develop international artist and songwriter careers. In Waterfall’s catalog you’ll find names like Ida Maria, Susanne Sundfør, Alfred Hall, Brandyn Burnette, Ida Jenshus, Ingrid Olava, Raga Rockers ++.

I look forward to make productive connections to music supervisors and others working with sync. I’m eager to attend the Get Synced! workshop and to hear the stories behind musical choices in “What Were They Syncing?”

Killer Inc As is a Oslo based full-service public relations, marketing, communications and consulting company. Looking forward to attend Music & Media, to finally get the chance to see among others Pekko Käppi live, who was nominated for Phonofile Nordic Music Prize, and to meet up with the Finnish music industry to seek for partners for some of the artists we are working with.

From the 5-6th of October the Nordic Music Publishers Union will have their annual meeting in Tampere, Finland. All of the Nordic associations for Music Publishers will meet to discuss current issues. In addition to this, the Norwegian MPA will attend the Music & Media conference to see if this is a venue that can be recommended to our members in the future. We will also attend the conference to build and maintain competence and good relationships with our Nordic colleagues.
