Edition Wilhelm Hansen announced earlier this month that they have signed Norwegian composer Eivind Buene for publishing.
“Eivind Buene is a versatile composer, on the one hand inquistive, contemporary and communicative and one the other dreaming, enigmatic and even a little nostalgic. We are excited to add his conpositional voice to our existing catalogue og Nordic composers here at Wilhelm Hansen and present him and his works internationally”, says Promotion Manager at EWH, Trine Boje Mortensen in a press release.
EWH is a part of the Music Sales Group and are considered to be Scandinavia’s leading music publishers.
Eivind Buene has been presented at various international festivals including Eclat in Stuttgart, Huddersfield, Gaudeamus in Holland, Sacrum Profanum in Poland, and of course Nordic Music Days, and by ensembles such as Ensemble Intercontemporain, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group and Oslo Philharmonic. A work for the London Sinfonietta is underway to be performed in Bergen and London this year, and Buene will also be collaborating with Ensemble Musikfabrik at Donaueschinger Musiktage in October 2017.
