Tuvaband will play Ja Ja Ja Berlin September 7.

It’s time once again to see some great up and coming bands

Ja Ja Ja returns this fall with a great line up in Berlin and London. See dates, times and lineups  below

Berlin, Thursday September 7.

At FluxBau from 8:00pm

Set to kick off the first Ja Ja Ja Berlin of the season is Tuvaband (NOR), The Holy (FIN) and Wangel (DEN).

Tuvaband is the creation of Norwegian songwriter Tuva Hellum Marschauser and British musician Simon Would.

In late 2016, they were ready to share their music with the world, and the band self-released their debut double A-side single ‘Unknown / Running’. The songs received international recognition, along with well over 4 million streams via Spotify in the first 4 months. Since then, the duo have appeared at SXSW in the US, as well as festivals in Norway and the UK and are now set to round off the year by releasing a brand new, full length EP..

Their unique sound blends lo-fi production, reverb-drenched guitars and catchy vocal layering, so it’s easy to see how the band gained so much momentum from their first two songs.

London, Thursday September 28.

The Lexington from 7:30pm

The first night in London, Ja Ja Ja teams up with the good people of Vevo, who hand picked the night’s lineup of Emma Jensen (NOR), Many Voices Speak (SWE) and Goss (DEN).

Without telling anyone, Emma Jensen wrote and produced “Closer” herself. Growing up playing the violin and singing, writing songs felt natural while the technical aspects of producing, she learned from YouTube, and more recently, other established producers.
This low key, mesmerizing debut song is seasoned with electronic influences, with a dash of trap. Call it what you want, Emma Jensen’s single became an underground hit with 5 million streams on Spotify and more than a million on YouTube.
