Black metallers 1349 heads out on extensive tour of the US and Canada this week and reveals details on new studio album.

This week sees black-metallers 1349 heading out on an extensive tour of the US and Canada with Behemoth and Goatwhore as part of the Metal Alliance Tour 2014. Full tour details in calendar section below.

New album

Four years after the release of the band’s honoured ‘Demonoir’, 1349 is set to return with a new full-length album this autumn. The album will be released on Indie Recordings throughout the world, except for North America, where Season of Mist will be handling the album.

Writes 1349 in a press release: “We entered the studio with an idea of putting everything that 1349 has ever been about into a cauldron, stir it well, and pour in some fresh ingredients – as well as some strange old ones – and come up with our most potent elixir ever. And we brought the spirit to match the ambitious attempt. Boil, boil, toil and trouble…Behold! We have made the most delightfully intoxicating and dangerous potion you can dream of.”

A taster from the album comes in the form of a digital single; ‘Slaves’, in addition to a special 7”, limited to 666 (!) copies. The single will be available on digital services from the 4th of April, coinciding with the start of the band’s North American tour.
