This week, Prins Thomas announced that the prolific DJ and producer has started a new label called Rett I Fletta. The new label’s inaugural release is called ‘Blusjketuta’ and comes from Thomas himself.
Thomas already runs two labels: Full Pupp, devoted itself to Norwegian acts, and the Internasjonal offshoot, which has more of a global focus. Snippets from tracks featured on Blusjketuta can be streamed below:
Prins Thomas has also revealed the details of ‘10 Years of Full Pupp’, a double-disc compilation set for release in late May. 16 of the 32 tracks featured on the release were produced specifically for the anniversary collection. The ‘10 Years of Full Pupp’tracklist features music from the acts such as Blackbelt Andersen, Casiokids, Diskjokke, Lindstrøm, Skatebård, Prins Thomas himself, and many others.
28th of April sees the release of Prins Thomas’ third solo album ‘III’. The producer says the record sounds “somewhere between” his first two albums, Prins Thomas and Prins Thomas II. – They where both a result of the recording techniques and musical ideas I had at the time: the former organic and freeform, the latter more polished and square as I had just figured how MIDI worked. What I’ve learned so far is now coming together in some kind of musical (dis)harmony.

On another note, Prins Thomas recently talked to XL8R, and shared his favourite Oslo spots, including some of the capital’s key live music venues, restaurants, record stores and bars.
