Nico & Vinz’ ‘Am I Wrong’ continues its US tour-de-force, Truls album release in Central Europe and Kvelertak prepares for US tour with Mastodon – it’s the Music Norway Week in Review.

Nico & Vinz on US iTunes Top 15

Nico & Vinz are continuing their US campaign, fronted by single ‘Am I Wrong’ that’s steadily climbing radio and sales charts. This week, ‘Am I Wrong’ entered No#15 on the iTunes US sales charts on Fri, having climbed 17 spots in a few days.
The track is also performing strongly on the Billboard Hot 100, and is currently at No#91 and is expected to continue its upward trajectory.

Sandra Kolstad video wins prestigious award

The stunning video for Sandra Kolstad’s ‘Run Away’ was this week awarded a ‘Best European Independent Music Video’ at The European Independent Film Festival. Directed by Yenni Lee, the video has also racked up ‘Best Music Video’ nominations at SXSW and The Atlanta Film Festival respectively.

TIME favourites the Øya Festival

This week, TIME Magazine listed their 2014 summer festival favourites. Oslo’s Øya Festival made it onto their short-list, with the mag stating: – This impeccably-curated festival takes over Oslo’s Medieval Park each August and transforms it from Nordic ruins to a music-lover’s paradise that would make Valhalla jealous.

Truls album release in Germany, Austria & Switzeland

25th of April marks the release date for Truls’ debut album ‘Trvls’ (Universal) in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The album has been successfully spearheaded by the single ‘Out Of Yourself’, featuring Truls’ very own take on falsetto-tinged R’n’Besque pop, which has performed well in the territory in April – watch the new video for the track HERE.

Kelertak talks to the Quietus

Kelertak are headlining this weekend’s Desertfest in Camden. Currently touring the UK and Germany before heading over to the US for a lengthy tour supporting Gojira and Mastodon, the band took time earlier this week to talk to the Quietus on touring, what parts of Norway they take with them while travelling and how it feels to gain new territory while still singing in their native language.
