Nico & Vinz’ ‘Am I Wrong’ resumes it upward trajectory on the Billboard Hot 100.

‘Am I Wrong’ continues its upward trajectory on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. After a minor dip on the charts, the duo is back on track this week climbing the US charts, landing at No#7.

Nico & Vinz is the third Norwegian act ever to reach the coveted upper echelon of the charts, following in the footsteps of a-ha and Ylvis. Last autumn, Ylvis made it to No#6 with their viral phenomenon ‘The Fox’ – next week will see if Nico & Vinz will surpass that placement. 80s pop icons a-ha is the only Norwegian act to ever reach No#1 with their 1985 hit ‘Take On Me’.

Shazam reports that ‘Am I Wrong’ remains the most Shazamed song globally, ahead of Jason Derulo’s ‘Wiggle’ (a track penned by LA-based Norwegian producer Andreas Schüller) and Kiesza’s ‘Hideaway’.

The track is currently No#6 on the Billboard Digital Songs – the week’s top-downloaded songs across all genres, ranked by sales data as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.

Nico & Vinz are also performing strongly on the US Top 10 iTunes US charts – ‘Am I Wrong’ is currently No#9 on the download sales list.

Nico & Vinz – the duo formerly known as Envy, have enjoyed great success in Scandinavia over the last year, topping charts in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Earlier in 2014, the two have also been bestowed with a Boarder Breaker Award, celebrating the best new pop acts in Europe which have achieved cross-border chart success, in addition to signing a worldwide deal with Warner. Earlier this year, the duo relocated to LA.
