Sondre Lerche world tour announced, Norwegian jazz invasion in North America this weekend and the latest Nordic Playlist – it’s time for the Week in Review.

Sondre Lerche announces autumn World Tour dates

September sees the release of Sondre Lerche’s new album ‘Please’. This week, the NYC-based artist announced a massive World Tour in support of the album release; from the 23rd of September to the 15th of November, Lerche is set to play no less than 34 gigs in the US, France, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Denmark and Norway.

Norwegian jazz invasion in North America this weekend

Susanna, The Deciders, Tord Gustavsen Quartet, Bushman’s Revenge are all set to make live appearances at key North American festivals this weekend. Rochester International Jazz Festival, Scandinavian Jazz Festival and Festival International de Jazz de Montréal have all scheduled Norwegian acts prime-time this weekend. Mikhael Paskalev North American tour announced

This week, Mikhael Paskalev announced a string of US/Canadian live dates with San Fermin and Courtney Barnett in Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York, Montreal and Toronto. Paskalev has built up a loyal Australian following over the last year, and is also set to return for a tour down under in late July.

Recho at TedX in Londo

The inaugural MashUp winners from by:Larm 2014, Recho, are in for a high-profile gig this week: Recho co-founder Mads Damsbo is set to speak about music and interaction at the TEDx conference in London. Full programme & event info HERE.

Emperor live show from Hellfest

A fitting start to the weekend: Emperor played a killer show last weekend at Hellfest in France. Arte filmed the entire gig and has now posted an edited version that is available HERE.
