The new record is out in August, and the critics are already pleased

Jenny Hval & Susanna are set to release a new album i August. ‘Meshes of Voice’ will be released on Susanna’s own label SusannaSonata, and has already got international traction.

The Quietus did a piece on what they call their “favourite” artists. The first singel from the upcoming album, I Have Walked This Body, was awarded Best New Track at Pitchfork this week.

– The riptide static and the feedback pour from the powerful vocals themselves, a reflection of the personal animism written into the words, Pitchfork.

The next chapter
The duo will also perform at Ultima Oslo Contemporary Festival in September. There they will do an updated version of the piece ‘Meshes of Voice’, that was commissioned for Ladyfest in 2009.

 – We are very happy that Pitchfork picked up the song from the upcoming album. We are also excited about the next chapter of this collaboration – the release in August and the concert at the Ultima Festival in September, Susanna tells Music Norway.

‘Meshes of Voice’ is out on SusannaSonata on August 19th.
