September 25th sees Nordic club night and showcase arena Ja Ja Ja returning to London’s The Lexington after a summer break.
Late May saw Pandreas, Sekuoia and Naomi Pilgrim playing blistering sets before the club night closed its doors for the summer. Now Ja Ja Ja is poised to strike back on September 25 with performances from celebrated songwriter Aurora Aksnes, Danish duo Cancer (feauturing When Saints Go Machine’s Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild), and Finnish dream pop five piece NEØV.
Last week saw Aksnes playing a spirited and well-reviewed performance at Oslo’s Øya Festival.
Autodidact singer/songwriter Aurora Aksnes has been an avid composer since the ripe age of 10, and has in recent years matured into a strong, coherent voice with solid compositional skills.
During 2013/14, Aksnes has steadily built up a solid following at home, following strong performances at by:Larm and via Norway’s National Broadcaster NRK’s talent spotting programme Urørt.
She’s signed to Norway’s Petroleum Records and last autumn saw her inking a global publishing deal with Germany’s Budde Music. International booking (excluding North & South America) is handled by The Agency Group, and The Windish Agency (The Americas).
