Just a week away, the Ja Ja Ja Festival is one of those events you cannot miss if you’re in London on from the 13th to 15th of November. Norwegian acts at the festival includes Highasakite and Nils Bech,

Big in Japan

Norway’s GoToGuy now joins the ranks alongside producers and songwriters Slipmats, Jesper Borgen and Ingrid Helgor as Japanese chart-toppers. Warner/Chappel-signed GoToGuy (aka Erik Smaaland og Kriss Tømmerbakke – major domestic hit-makers under the Erik & Kriss guise) reached No. 1 on the Japanese singles charts with their track ‘Ashita Wa Kuru Kara’ that’s featured on Japanese act V6’s outing ‘Sky’s the Limit’. The outing has to date shifted more than 100 000 physical copies on the Japanese market.

New Eurosonic acts confirmed

Adding to an already strong line-up of Norwegian acts (link), Jonas Alaska and Spidergawd were confirmed as 2015 Eurosonic showcase acts this week. Norway’s 2015 Eurosonic contingent now counts 11 strong acts. As we have reported earlier, Todd Terje has won a coveted European Border Breaker award which will be presented to him during Eurosonic.

The Arts Desk – Nordic Music Round-Up


The Arts Desk has a new monthly ‘Nordic Music Round-Up’ on its site this week. Kieron Tyler (who wrote this brilliant article on Norwegian folk music for us last year ) has written thorough profiles on such strong Norwegian acts as Spunk, Arve Henriksen, Møster! and Microtub.

Kygo premieres new track

Kygo, who signed a major global deal with Sony earlier this year and is set to score songs for the upcoming Entourage soundtrack, premiered a much-awaited new track this week. For a taster of what his 2015 album might sound like, listen HERE.
