Kamferdrops is the mysterious, hooded singer/producer behind Jag trodde änglarna fanns, which since its release earlier this year has taken Sweden by storm.
This week, it reached #1 on Sweden’s radio chart, a milestone few other Norwegian artists have achieved.
Last time a Norwegian artist reached the top was back in 1985, when Bobbysocks won Eurovision with La det swinge.
The song is a remake of the Norwegian/Swedish schläger song originally performed by Ole Ivars and Kikki Danielsson from 1999.
Since its release, the song has racked up more than 26 million streams.
Kamferdrops’s second single Tusen Bitar is a remake of Bjørn Afzelius’ versions of Anne Linnets’ Tusind Stykker. It climbing the charts and has already reached 500K streams, in one week.
