Participates in a big international project.

The Norwegian Soloists’ Choir are participating in the big international project The Psalms Experience. The project premiered in The Netherlands earlier this fall, and will head to Oslo In March before finishing in Brussels late 2018.

This past weekend The Norwegian Soloists’ Choir headed to New York for The Lincoln Centre’s yearly White Light Festival.
– This is an important part of our international work, says managing director Ingvild Skaatan.

The Psalms Experience has gained international press coverage. The New York Times wrote about the project in relation to the New York concerts.

– It’s very fun to see results by having local partners in the different countries. In The Netherlands the venues were sold out, and in the USA prestigious publications such as The New York Times has written about the project several times which is fun!, Skaatan says.

The Netherlands Chamber Choir are the initiators behind The Psalms Experience. In addition to The Norwegian Soloists’ Choir, The Tallis Scholars from Britain and The Choir of Trinity Wall Street will also attend. The Soloists’ Choir and The Netherlands Chamber Choir are members of Tenso, which is a network for professional chamber choirs in Europe.

– The network facilitates partnerships across borders, and is an important supporter in our international work hereafter, Skaatan says.
