This week European Border Breaker Awards announced the 2018’s winners, and the “Don’t Kill My Vibe” singer is one of 10 recipients this year.
The prize honors 10 new, European bands or artists whom reached audiences outside their home territory.
Sigrid has had a massive year so far, from launching her debut single “Don’t Kill My Vibe” in January, to playing late night shows and festivals around the world, and a score in the new Justice League movie.
This marks the fifth consecutive year a Norwegian artist receives the award, with Nico & Vinz (2014), Todd Terje (2015), Aurora (2016) and Alan Walker (2017) all having won the prize before her.
The award will be given out at a televised ceremony during Eurosonic Noorderslag in January 2018.
