“As it’s our final show before the Christmas break, expect things to get a bit festive – Nordic style…”, Ja Ja Ja writes in their announcement.
The 21-year-old, half Norwegian, half Greek Amanda Tenfjord has already gained traction in the music sphere. Signed alongside Dagny, Sløtface, Hanne Hukkelberg and Highasakite on Oslo’s Propeller Recordings, we have seen three releases from her so far in 2018.
She started making music at an early age playing the piano and taking vocal lessons, but we did not see an official release before 2014. Her latest single Let Me Think was released earlier in October, and has joined her previous singles in racking up streams on Spotify.
The Norwegian/Greek’s numbers on Spotify do not speak for themselves, as critics have praised her music and compared her to heavyweights in the industry. Respected NME says she has “a promising power inside her which is definitely worth keeping an eye on in the year ahead.”

Earlier this week we could also find her name on the list (she was a demo artist in 2017) of artists set to play next year’s Trondheim Calling. Despite her young age, she can already look back at a handful of applauded performances at by:Larm, Trondheim Calling and Klubbøya, among others. As 2018 is coming to an end, new music and more performances are on the horizon for 2019.
