Sundfør’s first release was the 2006 single Walls, which peaked at number 3 in the Norwegian singles chart. Her self-titled debut album released in 2007 also peaked at number 3 in the Norwegian album chart and the album’s second and last single ”I Resign” was released in 2007. In February 2008, she was awarded Spellemansprisen (the Norwegian Grammy) for best female performance. Susanne Sundfør continued the expansion of her musical universe with her latest album, The Silicone Veil from 2012, a follow-up to the critically acclaimed, platinum-selling The Brothel (2010), which spent 30 weeks in the Norwegian album charts.
Early February 2015 saw the release of Sundfør’s latest album to date, ‘Ten Love Songs’. The Guardian ran a 5 star album review of the album declaring: “Don’t miss out on this, it’s a quite brilliant album. Brilliant pop from Norwegian megastar …utterly magnificent.” The Sunday Times Culture also followed up with a strong review, writing: ‘“As a corrective to the Grammy’s crowning of a charisma-free cruise ship crooner as the future of blue-eyed soul, set aside such trivia and instead immerse yourself in this extraordinary new album from the Norwegian singer.”
Sundfør is set to tour Europe in March 2015.
