Terje Stensvold

From 1972 to 1999 Terje Stensvold was a member of the Norwegian National Opera performing over eighty diverse roles including Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Bartolo (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Marcello (La bohème), Klingsor (Parsifal), Scarpia (Tosca), Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor), Escamillo (Carmen), Jochanaan (Salome), Iago (Otello) a.o.  After marking his 25th anniversary at the Norwegian National Opera, Terje Stensvold suddenly embarked on a wider international career, starting with his UK debut as Scarpia for Scottish Opera. He then progressed with a large number of roles in opera companies such as the Frankfurt Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, La Scala, Monte-Carlo and Royal Opera House Covent Garden and festivals such as Bayreuth, Salzburg and Munich.
