Industry and fans from all over the world will for the 19th time gather for the annual festival and conference in Norway

This Easter, from April 18th – 21st, Inferno Metal Festival will be held at numerous venues in Oslo, where “Rockefeller” and “John Dee,” who share the same building will be the festival’s focal point.

This year’s headliners include the likes of Dimmu Borgir, Taake, Opeth, Hypocrisy and 1349. The festival has become an institution in the metal scene, where over 50 percent of the attendees come from abroad. Every Easter is therefore dedicated to black metal, with up-and-coming bands playing alongside some of the biggest names in the game.

Alongside the festival program there is also the “Inferno Music Conference” (IMC), an arena that has become an attractive place to be for some of the world’s most important players in the black metal industry. The conference offers a wide selection of seminars, panel debates and presentations.

The main goal of the Inferno Music Conference is to expand and share knowledge about the different aspects of the industry. The conference is a collaboration between Music Norway, MØST and The Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“There are few other metal gatherings in the world with the equivalent number of delegates and not to mention the quality of said delegates, that come to IMC. Renowned and well-established festivals and curators, agents, record labels and press travel here every year. Therefore, it is a good place for players in the Norwegian metal market to be during Easter.”
– Pål Dimmen, project leader for the metal genre in Music Norway.
