They will perform a revised version of Trond Reinholdtsen’s work ‘Music as Emotion’

Experimental contemporary ensemble asamisimasa is set to perform at SPOR festival in Aarhus, Denmark that goes from 8. – 15. May.

The ensemble will perform a revised version of Trond Reinholdtsen’s Music as Emotion which originally premiered in 2007. The concert will focus on interaction and music as bodily actions. Reinholdtsen himself describes Music as Emotions “as a piece where everything is explained during the performance”.

In addition to Reinholdsen they will also perform Martin Schüttler’s Selbstversuch, die Andern (2013) for ensemble and electronics and Maix Wainwright’s RADIO 1 for radios and feedback (2013)

SPOR festival director Anne Marqvardsen is excited to once again see asamisimasa perform at the festival.

– Through the last 10 years SPOR festival has had a lot of fruitful collaborations with the Norwegian music life. At the festival in 2016 we are thrilled that asamisimasa once again visits the festival – last time they where here was in 2008 where they participated in a 24 hour marathon-chamber concert!

– asamisimasa is a brilliant ensemble, and their artistic profile matches SPOR’s really well. On the program for their concert at SPOR festival is, amongst others, Trond Reinholdtsen’s Music as Emotion, and I look forward to experiencing asamisimasa working with the quirky, comic and highly original universe of Reinholdtsen.

The teams for this year’s edition of SPOR is WYSI(N)WYG! (What You See Is (Not) What You Get!).
