Aurora and Highasakite set for Glastonbury

By Vegard Storaas Posted: 10. Jun, 2016

In last days of June, two of Norway’s leading indie artists, Aurora and Highasakite, will perform at Glastonbury in the UK.

Highasakite has just released their third album, “Camp Echo”, for which the band has received great reviews. During the few weeks after the release, the band has toured the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands.

In a press release, the band says it is a great honor to play at “… such a remarkable and renowned festival like Glastonbury, that always has an outstanding line-up”.

– For us it is nice to come back to the UK one month after our successful tour. It has always been our goal to perform on the largest festivals in Europe, so playing at festivals like Glastonbury, Roskilde and Latitude in one summer feels good.

Aurora has since the release of her debut album “All My Demons Greeting Me As Friends” toured extensively in Central Europe, Scandinavia and across the United States. In March this year, Aurora performed on Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show”.

Glastonbury is one of Europe’s biggest festivals, and draws 135,000 people each year. Among the most prominent names that will perform at Glastonbury this year, we find Adele, Muse and Coldplay.

Both Highasakite and Aurora will perform on Friday, June 24th.
