Eurosonic 2015

Eleven Norwegian acts set to perform at next week’s Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen, NL. Todd Terje to receive prestigious EBBA-Award.

The Eurosonic Noorderslag 2014 kicks off on the 15th of January, and the eleven-strong Norwegian contingent includes acts All We Are, Aurora, Carmen Villain, Carnival Kids, Intertwine, Jonas Alaska, Kate Havnevik, Kid Astray, Pandreas, Sea Change and Spidergawd who will play showcases at in Groningen next week.

On Wed 14th of Jan, Todd Terje is set to receive his well-deserved European Border Breaker Award.

Todd Terje follows in the footsteps of Nico & Vinz who won the same award last year, and the award comes off the back of the global success of Todd Terje’s successful album ‘It’s Album Time’ and seminal tracks such as ‘Inspector Norse’ and ‘Delorean Dynamite’.

The winners of the 2015 European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA Awards), celebrating the best new pop acts in Europe which have achieved cross-border chart success, will be celebrated next Wed at a major Jools Holland-presented TV show. During the next months the EBBA show will be broadcast by many public TV-stations in Europe. Among others by Dutch broadcaster NTR on Saturday January 17, 2015.

The Øya Festival is nominated for three prizes at the European Festival Awards which is staged during Eurosonic; Best Programme, Artist’s Favourite European Festival and The Green Operations Award. Blues in Hell is nominated in the category Best Indoor Festival while Slottsfjell Festival joins Øya in the Artist’s Favourite European Festival.

The three Norwegian festivals are nominated alongside such major European festivas as Glastonbury (England), Primavera (Spania), Pinkpop (Nederland), Rock Werchter (Belgia), Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park (Tyskland) og Sziget (Ungarn).
