Øya Festival and Brilliance nights at SXSW

8 Norwegian bands are playing SXSW this year

Both Øya Festival and Brilliance are having club nights at SXSW this year. Check out the the lineups and where and when below.

As per every year, a handful of fine artists are heading to Austin for SXSW. This year these 8 Norwegian artists are set to win over fans, industry and press.

In addition Amanda Delara and Jørgen Ousman Jaquesson Sowe are part of songwriting camp SXSW Songs.

HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway will host a networking lunch with representatives from the Norwegian and US music industry.

Brilliance are hosting the Sounds from Norway showcase night for the fifth year. This year with six Norwegian artist at the Elysium on Red River.

– Sounds from Norway is well established at SXSW now, with a full house and line outside the last couple of years. We’re very happy to have a superb venue at the busy Red River street, says Brilliance CEO Ruben Nesse.

Crown Prince Haakon will also attend the Sounds of Norway night.

Music Norway are partners with Øya Festival at the BrooklynVegan/Margin Walker dayparty Lost Weekend 2 at Cheer Up Charlies on Red River Street Friday 16. March.
