Øya Festival bring Slutface and Great News to London

Once again, one of the finest festivals we know – Øya Festival is teaming up with the good people of Club NME for a special Club NME night at KOKO in Camden on Friday April 8th, featuring two of Norway’s hottest rising acts: Slutface and Great News.

With a name like Slutface, it’s got to be an interesting band, and they don’t disappoint. A four-piece pop-punk group inspired by the riot-grrrl movement (choosing their name in direct opposition to what they are), they’ve been much-hyped by Gigwise, DIY and Kerrang!

Joining them will be Great News, a hazy pop/rock band from Bergen, known for their explosive live shows which display an energy veering from colossal to soft and subtle. The band have been hyped by the Line of Best Fit, Tidal and Crack in the Road, with multiple sold-out shows in Norway and support slots for Unknown Mortal Orchestra.

Tickets for Øya and Club NME at KOKO are available here.

There will also be a industry only event with the two bands and a DJ set from EERA at Shoreditch House Thursday April 7th. Contact nina@musicnorway.no for guest list requests.
