Pom Poko to play at Ja Ja Ja in Vienna

Five Nordic acts showcasing at the first Ja Ja Ja club night of the year.

Ja Ja Ja starts off the year with five acts showcasing their music in Vienna, Friday the 26th of January. The club night will go down at WUK in Währinger Strasse and features five Nordic newcomers: Velvet Volume(DEN), Úlfur Úlfur(ICE), The Holy(FIN), Goss(DEN) & Pom Poko (NO).

– Ja Ja Ja Music came to Vienna in 2015 and has been going strong ever since. Taking place in the beautiful venue WUK in the heart of Vienna, the event has reached capacity since it’s inagural year. In addition to gathering a strong audience of music curious punters, the event secures regular high-profile media coverage as well as a strong attendance from the local music industry, says Jonas Vebner, Music Norway’s head of Central European office.

The Trondheim band Pom Poko described as Pure Norwegian Punky Sweetness, started out in 2016, and has since played at Norwegian and international festivals like Trondheim Calling, Roskilde, Pstereo and Øya Festival.

– The timing around Pom Poko’s show seems excellent and having been down at the annual FM4 party (key radio for new music) in Wien I can attest that a lot of people are already looking forward to the third edition of the event, Jonas continues.
