Tellef Raabe is given much love from German radio station FluxFM with them A-listing his latest single fFying on the ground.
Melanie Gollin from Flux FM told us the station pays close attention to the Norwegian music scene.
– Picking music for our rotation, the country of origin of a musician does – even if only subconsiously – have an influence on our decision. With bands like Kakkmaddafakka, Röyksopp or Erlend Øye being longtime household names at FluxFM, we pay special attention to whatever Norwegian artists lands on our desk.
– Over the last years Norway’s output of pop music has been impressive and made for a well fed FluxFM-playlist, recently featuring the likes of Sløtface, Emilie Nicolas, Gundelach and of course Aurora. With Tellef Raabe we discovered what we think is an incredible talent of a singer and songwriter and we’re curious to see how he develops. Flying on the Ground is a massive hit at our station, both with staff and listeners. There used to be a time when Sweden was the north’s biggest player in music. Don’t tell ’em we said that but: Norway is the new Sweden.
Raabe is set to release an album internationally this fall and is currently in Berlin working on new material with producers and writers. Make sure to like his Facebook page for updates on his coming tour.
