Cashmere Cat enters Billboard Hot 100 w/Ariana Grande

Cashmere Cat and Ariana Grande’s new single got off to a good start on Billboard this week The track, which is produced by Cashmere Cat and features Grande’s vocals entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No#93, according to Chart News. Cashmere Cat is currently in the midst of a massive North American tour, supporting Ariana Grande on her ‘Honeymoon’ tour.

Matoma + Aurora – Last.fm Fastest Rising

Two Norwegian acts are doing rather well on Last.fm’s ‘fastest rising’ charts this week: Matoma is now No#1 on Last.fm’s ‘Fastest rising artists’ while Aurora’s ‘Runaway’ is currently No#5 on the global ‘fastest rising tracks’ among Last.fm’s 58m user accounts.

Five acts confirmed for The Great Escape

Norway’s first five acts confirmed for the 2015 The Great Escape Festival have now been announced: Susanne Sundfør (St. Georges, 14/5), Monica Heldal (Unitarian Church, 15/5), Vilde Tuv (Unitarian Church, 15/5), The Well (Audio, 15/5) and Aurora Aksnes (The Agnecy Stage, 15/5).

The Great Escape festival which runs from 8th to 10 of May 2014, has become known as one of the most important showcasing arenas for the international music scene, working as a collection ground for key representatives of the music industry.

Bring on The Night

Norwegian broadsheet VG just launched a cool new feature on their web-tv channel: ‘Bring On the Night’ – a series featuring 730.no/Music Norway’s Gisle Stokland following Norway’s new kadre of top-tier DJs/producers on tour at home and abroad. Watch the likes of Kygo and Matoma in a English subtitled series as they play sold-out shows across the globe. Behind the scenes shots and unique insights into the everyday life of the touring super DJs that’s not to be missed.
