Spotify’s Top 10 Most Viral Tracks
This week sees ABC News doing a Spotify Top 10 Most Viral Tracks feature. Two Norwegian entries have made it onto the Global list of most viral tracks worldwide: Lido’s remix of alt-J’s ‘Left Hand Free’ (#2) and Röyksopp’s ‘I Had This Thing’ (#10) have both been shared heavily from Monday, Nov. 10 to Sunday, Nov. 16 via Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter and Spotify.
Time Magazine – See How Much Every Top Artist Makes on Spotify
Time Magazine has taken a dive into Spotify stats, aiming to visualize the actual payout for the streaming service’s most popular acts in October. Nico & Vinz earn themselves a No#15 spot on the exclusive list with their global hit ‘Am I Wrong’. Time have calculated that the tracks 21,3m Spotify streams has generated a total payout of app $130k – 180k – not bad.
Kygo’s Endless Summer
Nov 21st marks the start of the European leg of Kygo’s aptly titled ‘Endless Summer’ tour. The nearly sold-out 12-date tour kicks off at Bucharest’s Casa Presei tonight and ends at Stockholm’s Göta Kallare on Dec 19th. Full tour details in our Concert Calendar HERE.
Team Me – F is for Faker
Oslo is still devoid of snow as one can see in Team Me’s lastest video ‘F is for Faker’ which dropped this week. Watch the six-piece battling it out on bikes in a dark and rainy Norwegian capital in late autumn, spreading some much-needed light in an otherwise dark period.
Röyksopp: “The time is right to pack it in, while we’re ahead”
Much has been said and written on Röyksopp’s farewell to the album format over the last weeks. What remains certain is that the two have delivered an album that seems to stand the test of time and remain as a solid conclusion to a string of albums dating back to 2001’s ‘Melody A.M.’. This week Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland talked to The Line of Best Fit on the duo’s last album, what led them to abandon the format and what’s planned for the next year.
Ja Ja Ja Festival in pitcures
Last weekend’s Ja Ja Ja Festival in London went down as a success with sold-out venues on Thu/Fri and a packed house on Sat.
