Folkelarm is the most important meeting point for Nordic folk music. It is a showcase festival that highlights the best and most promising folk musicians and dancers from across the Nordic region. Folkelarm serves as a hub where musicians, artists, concert promoters, agents, organizers, and record labels come together.
Folkelarm consists of two parts: a festival and a conference. The conference serves as a meeting place for the Nordic and international music industry, featuring a range of talks, seminars, and panel discussions during the day for artists, organizers, bookers, agents, and more. The showcase concerts take place in the evening and are open to a folk music-loving audience, as well as visiting and local industry professionals.
